Small 8 ¾ ” Antique Jambati Singing Bowl – Lovely Concert Pitch Eb3 (156Hz)

This is a small and very nice quality antique Jambati Singing Bowl with finely hammered walls worn sensually smooth after many decades of use and ritual cleaning.  It has a plain triangulated lip and decorative bands encircling the outer rim, the circles at its centre having been worn away with the passage of time. There is a beautiful simplicity to its form.

Its good looks are matched by a wonderful voice…a really lovely perfect pitch third octave Eb3 (156Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer.  The struck note is particularly nice.  The rim note changes to a very high F5 (708Hz) with a wooden ringer.

The structural condition of this antique bowls is excellent, and it is clean and free of stains.

A padded striker and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
