Small Heavy 8 ¼” Antique Jambati Singing Bowl – Perfect Pitch G3

This well-crafted small antique Jambati Singing Bowl has unusually thick walls and is remarkably heavy for its size, but still comfortable to hold and play.  It has a relatively low profile and a curved wall rising from a flat bottom, terminating in a grooved lip.   There are decorative circles at its centre and around the outer rim.

It has an excellent perfect pitch third octave G3 (196Hz) fundamental when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer.  The rim note changes to a fifth octave D5 (582Hz) with a wooden ringer.

This antique bowl is structurally sound and free of stains and blemishes, and has a dark matt bronze colour.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
