Superb Rare Pot-Shaped Antique Lingam Singing Bowl – lovely Rare A3 Voice

This rare antique pot-shaped Lingam Singing Bowl has a lovely and uncommon third octave A3 fundamental (224Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede ringer.  The rim note changes to a fifth octave Eb5 (634Hz) with a wooden ringer.  This bowl is self-amplifying, very responsive and easy to play.

It has a lovely globular shape with very fine smooth walls, a flange lip, a lingam at its centre surrounded by circles, and a matching yoni or navel underneath.

It is in good condition for its age, free of  stains, and has the most beautiful aged patina acquired over many years use.

A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, and a double-ended teak and suede ringer are included in the price.
