Antique Lingam Singing Bowl. Note: A3 (Third Eye Chakra)
Weight: 1.0 kilos (2 lb 3 ¼ oz). Size: 22 x 8 (8 ½ x 3 inches)
This is a superb example of a superior quality shallow-form Lingam Singing Bowl. Its low profile, gently curved bottom, and distinctive flanged lip are particularly rare. There is a neat Lingam at its centre surrounded and defined by two sets of circles, with a matching yoni or navel underneath.
This antique singing bowl has a perfect pitch third octave A3 fundamental (220/221Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede or wooden ringer. It’s a responsive bowl and easy to play.
This rare 18th Century Lingam Singing Bowl is structurally sound, clean and stain-free. It is supplied ‘as found’ uncleaned, with a fabulous matt colour and aged patina.
A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, a striker, and a ringer are all included in the price.
