This 20th century pot-shaped Lingam Singing Bowl has a middle octave C#4 (273Hz) fundamental note when struck with a padded mallet that rises to 278Hz when played around the rim with a suede or wooden ringer. The globular shape of this bowl appears to amplify the sound.
It has a fine globular wall with a flanged lip and rounded bottom. The neat lingam at its centre is surrounded and defined by 2 sets of circles, matched by a navel or yoni underneath.
This bowl is in excellent structural condition, clean, and free of stains and blemishes, with a bright golden bronze colour.
A double-ended teak and suede ringer is included free of charge.
