Fabulous Superior Quality Antique Pedestal Singing Bowl – Perfect Pitch D4

This fabulous example of a superior quality antique Pedestal Singing Bowl has a perfect pitch middle D4 (294Hz) fundamental when played around the rim with a suede ringer.  The struck note is 298Hz.  The rim note changes to a fifth octave G5 (796Hz) if played with a wooden ringer.  It is a very responsive bowl and easy to play.

Typical of this bowl type there are multiple decorative bands encircling the outer rim.  The lip is finely grooved, but it is otherwise plain.  

Apart from its perfect pitch D4 voice the standout feature of this bowl is its quality and exceptional condition.  It is structurally sound and unusually clean and stain-free, with a bright shiny golden bronze colour.
