The stand-out feature of this large 10-inch 20th century Jambati Singing Bowl is its beautiful golden bronze colour.
It has a lovely third octave F4 (353Hz) fundamental with a long sustain when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede or wooden ringer.
It has an attractive and graceful simplicity of form with a smooth curved wall, plain sheered lip, and rounded bottom. There are no decorative features.
This bowl has been superbly crafted and is in excellent structural condition, clean and free of stains.
A real ‘looker’ with a very nice voice!
