Lovely Medium Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl – C4

Antique Manipuri Singing Bowls have become increasingly rare in recent years, and this is a particularly fine example.  It is a little thicker and heavier than usual, with an excellent multi-grooved lip, circles at the centre, and multiple decorative lines encircling the outer rim.   

The fundamental note is a nice middle octave C4 (256Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a wooden ringer.

This antique Manipuri is in excellent structural condition, clean and stain-free, with a bright golden bronze colour.
