Superior Quality Antique Pedestal Singing Bowl – Perfect Pitch A5 – Inscription

This superior quality antique Pedestal Singing Bowl has two great voices.  The fundamental note is middle octave Eb4 (318Hz) when struck or played around the rim with a suede ringer.  The rim note changes to a powerful and penetrating perfect pitch fifth octave A5 (880Hz) with a wooden ringer.   It is a very responsive bowl and easy to play.

Typical of this bowl type there are multiple decorative bands encircling the outer rim, but it also benefits from an old dot-punched inscription on the outer wall; a sure sign of the high esteem in which this bowl was held by a former keeper.

It is in excellent structural condition, basically clean and stain-free, with a bright shiny golden bronze colour.
