Very Rare Tiny Antique Lingam Singing Bowl – E6
£465.00
Antique Lingam Singing Bowl. Notes: E6 & Bb4 (Solar Plexus & Crown Chakras)
Weight: 391 grams (0 lb 14 oz). Size: 12 x 5 ½ cm (4 ¾ x 2 ¼ inches)
This is a very rare tiny antique lingam singing bowl. With a diameter of just 12 cm it is one of the smallest I have come across in over 40 years of collecting.
It is relatively shallow, with a sheered lip, and a rounded bottom. There is a perfect button-like lingam at its centre surrounded and defined by 2 sets of circles, with a tiny navel or yoni underneath. There is evidence of a decorative collar of tiny cuts encircling the outer rim, now worn down from long use.
The fundamental note is a nice high sixth octave E6 (1252Hz) when struck with a wood striker, and a middle Bb4 (479Hz) when played around the rim with a wooden ringer.
This very collectable little bowl is in excellent structural condition, clean and stain-free, with a golden bronze colour.
A small ringer is included in the price.
