Attractive Small Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with Suns – Penetrating C6
Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl. Notes: C#5 & C6 (Root Chakra)

This small 19th century Manipuri Singing Bowl features a ring of decorative suns (punched dots within circles) at its centre and all around its lip, all other decorative elements having been worn away from use over the years.
The fundamental note is fifth octave C#5 (566Hz) when struck or played around the rim with a wooden ringer. However, the rim noted steadily progresses to a penetrating and high sixth octave C6 (1065Hz) with a long sustain. It is a responsive bowl and easy to play.
It is in excellent structural condition, clean, stain-free, with a bright shiny golden colour.
