Lovely Small Antique Manipuri Singing Bowl with Suns

This small 19th century Manipuri Singing Bowl with its well defined artwork is very pretty.  It features several circles including a ring of decorative suns (punched dots within circles) at its centre and all around its lip.  There is also a pair of decorative lines just below the inner rim.

The fundamental note is fifth octave Bb5 (939Hz) when struck or played around the rim with a wooden ringer.  Other harmonics are also present including a high sixth octave A6 (1780Hz).    It is a responsive bowl and easy to play.

There are slight signs of wear underneath but it is in good structural condition, clean, stain-free, with a bright shiny golden colour.

A small complementary ringer is included.
