Unique Antique Pot-Shaped Singing Bowl – G4 (382/4Hz)

This lovely pot-shaped singing bowl is unique, or at least the first I have encountered with such a tall height to breadth ratio.  It has been expertly crafted with fine walls and a wide flanged lip that is boldly grooved.  There are decorative bands around the outer rim, and a single line encircles the belly at its widest point.  It has a small flat bottom, and there are circles at its centre.

The fundamental note is a middle G (382/4Hz) when struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a suede or wooden ringer.  A Tibetan silk brocade bowl cushion, a padded striker and a ringer are all included in the price.

An extraordinary antique singing bowl…one of a kind!  It is in excellent structural condition, and has the look and feel of antiquity.
