This is the largest and heaviest antique Naga Singing and Healing Bowl in our collection!  It has a powerful mid octave F# voice and benefits from a fine dot-punched inscription just below the decorative banding on the outer wall.

This is an extremely well made and nicely proportioned bowl with thick even walls, a good lip, and a strong pedestal.  The lip is grooved and there are four pairs of incised bands forming a decorative collar below the rim.  This handsome old bowl is in excellent structural condition and virtually free of stains and blemishes.

The fundamental note is a powerful F#4 with a low D2 harmonic.  The note is the same whether struck with a padded mallet or played around the rim with a ringer.  A large teak and suede ringer is included in the price.

This bowl has a masculine feel to it…due in part to its sheer size and weight.  The diameter of the pedestal measures 11cm (4 ¼ inches) at its base and requires a fairly large hand and a strong grip to hold it comfortably for any length of time.
