Rare Antique Shaman Eye Phurba

This rare large Phurba dates from the 19th century and is of a type favoured by Himalayan Shaman for healing and energetic work.
Carved in rosewood it features the 3 faces of a crowned deity, one of which is wears earrings.
It has a long carved hilt in the form of a dorje or thunderbolt, attached to which are strips of old knotted rag that were torn from the garments of clients during shamanic healing rituals.
There is a small makara above a three-sided blade, with one side featuring a large carved eye and two entwined snakes, while the other two facets each have a pair of entwined snakes.
An interesting example of this ritual shaman tool in excellent condition!
