Antique Tibetan Dorje Crown Phurba (20cm/8 inches)
A superb Tibetan Crown Phurba (Circa 19th Century) with three faces of a deity. It has two endless knots and a vajra hilt, a neat makara with arms and hands, and entwined serpents on each facet of the three-sided metal-tipped blade. A length of old talismanic cotton cloth used in rituals has been knotted around the middle section of the phurba. Each end of the cotton rag contains a tightly bound metal disc, believed to be small coins.
This is a great little Tibetan phurba in excellent condition. It is compact, has a nice patina, and is well-carved and full of character.
