Antique Tibetan Phurba (23cm/9 inches)
This is a boldly carved old wooden phurba with a well-defined shape and a narrow waist at the midpoint between the hilt and the blade. It has a three-faced deity, each separated by a different serpent-like motif, a dorje crown and hilt, and a large three-sided blade with entwined serpents on each facet. An old dry but stable split runs the entire length of the phurba, but this is not particularly noticeable for the most part, and does not significantly detract from its interest. Two pieces of old talismanic cloth used in rituals remain bound around the hilt.
