Sleeping Timor Male Ancestor Figure

A small male ancestor figure sitting on his haunches, elbows on knees, with his hands clasping his head…sleeping.  The compact simplicity of this figure is both its charm and its strength.  Carved in hardwood with a nice patina, it was collected in Timor in the 1980s and probably dates from the middle of the 20th century, possibly earlier.  Excellent condition.
