Chinese-Indonesian Red Lacquer Gilded Offering Table

This Chinese-Indonesian carved Offering Stand was sourced in Bali, Indonesia, in the 1980s and dates from the first half of the 20th century.  It would be placed on an altar during festive occasions, and decorated as part of the offerings.

It is intricately and ornately carved with Chinese Lions, dragons, and floral motifs, and painted in red lacquer and gold.  A panel in the top lifts off.  

It is in very good condition structurally, with no obvious damage to the carving, but the paintwork is grubby and faded.  It’s an interesting and attractive little offering table with an aged appearance, but might benefit from repainting.
