Ceremonial Temple & Monastery Bowls
All the antique bowls in this category are thought to have been commissioned by or for ceremonial use in Hindu and Buddhist Shrines, Temples, and Monasteries in India, Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan. They are almost exclusively rare large Jambati and Lingam bowls, with wonderful resonant voices and long pulsating sustains. Many carry inscriptions…names, wise sayings, or dedications to a deity or temple. These fabulous rare antique singing bowls are often well preserved. They look and feel special, and are highly collectable.
